Board Members

Neil Bryson, CPA, CLU, and RICP, President - Neil graduated from Indiana University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was active in public accounting and received his CPA in 1980. In 1994 Neil left public accounting and served as the Chief Financial Officer for a local third-party administrator until 2002. Since 2002, he has been an agent for New York Life Insurance Company and additionally now serves as a financial adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC concentrating on retirement planning. Neil also served on the finance committee of St. Jude Catholic Church in Fort Wayne for 20 years and on the board of St Anne Nursing Home.

Rose Hillman, RN, BSN, Founder, Vice President - Rose received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. She has been an RN for 40 years with experience in long-term care, hospice, and dementia care. She was the primary caregiver for her mom in her last years of life. Her passion is the elderly and the dying.

Krista McIntosh RN, BSN, Secretary - Krista received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Ball State University.  She has experience in emergency care, cardiology, and delivery/postpartum care.  Currently she is fulfilling her vocation as a wife and mother.  She was able to advocate and be present for multiple loved ones’ last days.  She has a passion for new life and the elderly.  She is excited to help with the growth of Heart of Jesus Home for the Dying.

Kathy Coffin, Treasurer - Kathy graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a degree in Food Science. As a stay-at-home mom since 1994, she was very involved with volunteer activities in both the schools and church when her children were still at home. She currently does in-home visits to the homebound.

Connie Glosson, Board Member - Connie retired from Verizon after 32 years where the majority of her career was within the Human Resources Department. She served in various capacities, primarily as an Executive Assistant and Records and Benefits Supervisor. Since her retirement she has embarked on several volunteer opportunities including the Women’s Care Center and Catholic Charities. She is currently assisting in the start-up of our home and is looking forward to volunteering in the future in whatever capacity is needed. 

Robin Hartenstein, Board Member - Robin has a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, majoring in Criminal Justice.  She has worked in Insurance for over 22 years, currently in Professional Liability Insurance. She is also a full time wife and mother. She has served on event and fundraising committees for several local non-profits. She is excited for the future of Heart of Jesus Home for the Dying. 

Burt Brunner, CPA, Board Member – Burt graduated in May of 1977 from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He worked as a CPA for 43 years in several local accounting firms, retiring as a partner from Dulin, Ward & DeWald CPAs at the end of 2020. Burt has served on numerous local non-profit boards, including the Community Harvest Food Bank where he was the Treasurer and head of the Finance Committee. Burt and his spouse, Ann, have six children and are members at St. Vincent Catholic Church.
